Marjorie M. Lynn, nee Rilling, 88, of West Bend, was lovingly welcomed into Heaven by her eternal soul mate, Willard on Saturday, March 3, 2007
She was born on April 3, 1918 in West Bend to the late George and Alvina (nee Rosenthal) Rilling. On June 10, 1939 she was united in marriage to Willard E. Lynn at St. John's Lutheran Church in Newburg.
Marge was employed at F&W Woolworth Co., Sears Roebuck and Froehlich Insurance Agency in West Bend. In 1963 Marge and Willard purchased the Republican Hotel in Kewaskum and named it the Glacier Inn. With Willard as the "bar keep" and Marge as "chef" they developed the business into one of the finest dining establishments in the area. Great food, great drinks and welcoming smiles were provided by the "two person team" until their retirement in 1977.
Marge and Willard left their residency in Kewaskum and moved to Long Lake near Dundee. Numerous lake friendships developed and children and grandchildren enjoyed many family get-togethers. After retirement they moved to North Fort Myers, Florida where they enjoyed life in the sun and spent summers back in Wisconsin. They returned to live in West Bend in 1999.
Marge, with Willard at her side, took special pride in being involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and multitudes of friends. She enjoyed a competitive game of Sheepshead and loved a good outing of blue gill fishing. Marge never passed up a change to dance with Willard to "Save the Last Dance for Me."
Marge and Willard were married for 65 years. Willard entered eternal life on October 1, 2004.
