Martha B. Stoffel

June 23, 1928 — November 2, 2006

Martha B. “Marty” Stoffel, 78, of Kewaskum, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at SynergyHealth St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk.


She was born on June 23, 1928, in Niagara Falls, New York, the daughter of the late Morris and Ruth (McDonald) Weddawson, and on March 17, 1979, she was united in marriage to Gerald Stoffel at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.


Marty was a registered nurse, and her last employment was as Director of Nursing at Gateway Nursing Home in Hartford. She was a member of the Homemakers Club, St. Vincent De Paul and Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Marty and Jerry facilitated the marriage preparation course, FOCUS.


Survivors include her loving husband, Jerry; her children, Robert (Sherry) Cooper of Allen, Texas and Patricia (Harold) McCarty of St. Louis, Missouri; eleven stepchildren, Tom (Kate) Stoffel of Tucson, Arizona; Dan (Joan) Stoffel of Kewaskum and their children, Erin (fiancé, Chris) and Carrie; Lee Stoffel of Kewaskum and his children, Nic (Annette), Joel (fiancée, Amanda) and Leah; Ann (Rick) Pfeil of New Berlin; Ned (Carol) Stoffel of Red Bank, New Jersey and their children, Jesse (Debbie) (Jesse and Debbie’s children, Taylor, Alyssa and Ryan) and January (Marc) Tkach; Tim (Nancy) Stoffel of Kewaskum and their children, Clayton and Karla; Amy (Lloyd) Pamperin of West Bend and their children, Kevin (Jessica), Jill and Jay; Pat (Karen) Stoffel of West Bend and their children, Jody, Kyle and Joe; Nicole Jahnke of Waunakee and her daughter, Lauren; Jacky (Jeff) Geidel of Kewaskum and their children, Jordan and Jason; Shelly (Brian) Taylor of Kewaskum and their children, Melissa and Jamie; a sister, Helen (Billy) Knight of Escondido, California, other relatives and many friends.


Marty was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She appreciated and enjoyed Jerry’s beautiful flower garden, and she was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Marty will be deeply missed by her husband, her family and by all who knew her.


A Mass of Christian Burial for Marty was held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street, Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the parish cemetery.


Relatives and friends called at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
