Martha T. Wille, nee Fischer, of West Bend, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in the Town of West Bend at the age of 100.
She was born on February 22, 1912 in the Town of El Paso, Wisconsin to the late Bernhard and Bertha (nee Lehmann) Fischer. On December 27, 1946, Martha was united in marriage to Herbert Wille at Friedens United Church of Christ in Milwaukee. Together they lived in Milwaukee until moving to Oconomowoc in 1968 and later to West Bend in 1979. Herbert preceded her in death on January 11, 1996.
Martha worked as a bookkeeper at Laacke and Joys and Rickerts Tool in Milwaukee; retiring in 1974.
Her faith was a very important part of her life and she was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum.
Martha is survived by her three children, Dorothy (Clifford) Berlin of Oconomowoc, Rev. Arthur (Cathleen) Wille of Neenah, and Charlotte Reif of Menlow, IA; six grandchildren, Carolyn Oddsen, Jenny (Ted) Gass, Linda (Greg) Kellicut, David (Terri) Berlin, Kathy Vrydaghs, and Matthew (Jamie) Reif; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; as well as many other close relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son-in-law, Rev. Martin Reif; four sisters, Bertha (Louis) Firner, Erna Fischer, Louise (Albert) Kind, and Florence (Eldon) Wirth; and three brothers, Reinhart (Marie) Fischer, Rev. Walter (Arlene) Fischer, and Arthur (Kitty) Fischer; a grandson Paul Berlin; and a great-grandson Jason Oddsen.
Funeral services in remembrance of Martha will be held on Saturday, April 7th at 11:00 am at Cedar Ridge in West Bend. Burial will follow the service in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Saturday at Cedar Ridge from 9:00 am until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Cedar Community, Peace United Church of Christ, Kewaskum, or a charity of your choice.
