Marvin A. Wernicke, Jr., 64, of Hartford, passed away Monday, April 9, 2007 at his residence.

He was born February 3, 1943 in West Bend to Marvin and Evelyn (nee Lein) Wernicke, Sr. Marvin was employed as a machinist at Slinger Manufacturing for many years until retiring in 2006. He was a member of First Congregational Church of Hartford.

He is survived by three children, Christine (Calvin) Wetzel of Milwaukee, Timothy Wernicke of West Bend, and Cheryl Wernicke of Milwaukee; five grandchildren, Nicole Wetzel, Justin Wetzel, Zachary Wernicke, Tyler Wernicke, and Hope Wernicke; his mother, Evelyn Wernicke of Milwaukee; two sisters, Diane Wernicke of Appleton, and Nancy (Kenneth) Howard of Milwaukee; a brother, Robert (Judy) Wernicke of New Berlin; a very close friend, Marcella Kleitzman of Hartford; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister in infancy.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 17 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wisconsin Memorial Park Family Center in Brookfield with Rev. Douglas Livingston officiating. Interment will follow in Wisconsin Memorial Park.
