Mary Jo Quigley, 87, of the town of Wayne, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009, at her daughter’s home.
She was born on August 5, 1921, in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Nevsimal) Smith, and on April 19, 1941, she was united in marriage to Harold Johnson. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1967. On June 28, 1976, she was united in marriage to John “Jack” Quigley. Jack preceded her on October 2, 2001.
Mary Jo was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Survivors include four children, Terry (Bernie) Pagels of the town of Wayne, Rosemary Sandretto (special friend, Norm Terapak) of Mequon, Bill (Margaret) Johnson of Ireland and Harold (Coletta) Johnson of North Carolina; a brother, Joe (Leona) Smith of Watertown, South Dakota; ten grandchildren, Bernie Pagels, Bob (Bobbi) Sandretto, Jim Sandretto, Colleen (Will) Barber, Laurie Mello, Harold (Lydia) Johnson, Jenny (Dan) Koenig and Rebecca Johnson, ten great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her spouses and parents, Mary Jo was preceded by a brother, Bill Smith and a sister, Camilla Klevisha.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Jo was held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and cremation followed.
Relatives and friends called on Thursday at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
