Mary B. Schneider, 63, of Beechwood, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2010, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
She was born on June 4, 1947, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Rev. Carl and Henrietta (Koehler) Knorr, and on September 3, 1966, she was united in marriage to Manvill “Bud” Schneider at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Batavia with her father presiding.
Mary was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott, the Altar Guild and the Women’s Evening Guild.
She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, a cherished sister and a good friend to many. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was the biggest cheerleader at her grandchildren’s sporting events. Mary will fondly be remembered for the fun times enjoyed for 40 years of family vacations at Long Lake and spending time up north fishing and getting together with friends. She loved her “Willow Flowage”. She will be deeply missed by her husband, her family and by all who knew her.
Those Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 44 years, Bud; three children, Tim (Cindy) Schneider of Beechwood, Scott Schneider (special friend, Stacy) of Waupun and Jenny (Mike) Heberer of the town of Auburn; four grandchildren, Abby Schneider, Kelsey, Alyssa and Austin Heberer; three brothers, Richard (Joan) Knorr of Random Lake, Tom (Barb) Knorr of Kewaskum and Johnny (Sherri) Knorr of Ohio; a sister, Sandy (Jack) Kelly of Fond du Lac; three sisters-in-law, Althea Kempf of Beechwood, Joan Schneider of Beechwood and Dolores (Jim) Waech of Cedar Grove, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Leonard Schneider and Marvin Kempf.
Funeral services for Mary were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2010, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott. Rev. Kurt Ziemann officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Thursday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
