Mary "Marlie" Solymossy, age 84, of Cedar Ridge in West Bend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center in the town of West Bend.
She was born on November 14, 1920 in A'fehArto, Hungary to the late Joseph Count MailA th and Louise Anne MailA th, nee Schell. Marlie was united in holy matrimony to the late Martin Solymossy on November 4, 1944 in Budapest, Hungary. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2002. Together, in 1952, they migrated to the United States and became American citizens.
She is survived by four children, Joseph (Linda) Solymossy of Knoxville, TN, Leslie Solymossy of Pensacola, FL, Emeric (Shirley) Solymossy of Davenport, IA, and Steven (Cindy) Solymossy of Grafton; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, George MailA th of Australia; and three sisters, Louise Anne MailA th Schell of Venezuela, Margit Horvath of Budapest, Hungary, and Ilona MailA th Vermes of Budapest, Hungary. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Joseph MailA th.
A memorial service in honor of Marlie will be held on Thursday, November 3, at 4:00 pm at the Cedar Ridge Chapel in West Bend. Chaplain Susan Kolb will officiate and visitation with the family will follow the service.
