Maryann Ella (Gron) Borchert

January 12, 1933 — July 19, 2017

MaryAnn E. Borchert, 84, of West Bend, entered eternal life on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on January 12, 1933, the daughter of the late Andrew and Alice (nee Samuels) Gron and on May 3, 1958, she was united in marriage to James Borchert.

MaryAnn was a longtime member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in West Bend where she was part of the Sunshine Gals and a past choir member.  MaryAnn’s greatest pride and joy was her family and loved to spend time with them especially camping on the Wolf River with evening campfires.

Those MaryAnn leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 59 years, James; three children, Mark (Jane) Borchert of Colorado Springs, CO, David (Elizabeth) Borchert of Eden, UT, and Eric (Christine) Borchert of Deerbrook; six grandchildren, Isaac Borchert, Nicholas Pasquale, Christie (Stanton) Nielson, Matthew (Marta) Borchert, Erin Borchert, and Aimee Borchert; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Jackson Pasquale; a sister, Margaret Bergemann of West Bend; a niece, Lynne (Loren) Holdoff of Stevens Point, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents MaryAnn was preceded in death by a grandson, Jojo Borchert; a brother, Andrew Gron Jr.; a sister-in-law, Ethel “Tudy” (Gus) Kagelmann, and two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Bergemann and Robert Borchert.

A Funeral Service for MaryAnn will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017, at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 501 Walnut St., in West Bend with Rev. Rich Vincent officiating.  Burial will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.

The Borchert family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from Noon until the time of services.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Horizon Hospice especially Kayla Gritzmacher RN.
