Maryellen M. Lathers, (nee Mueller) age 78, of West Bend, passed away Thursday January 24, 2007 at Kathy Hospice.
She was born on September 13, 1929 in Madison to the late Joseph and Mary Kathryn (nee Payton) Mueller and was united in marriage to Jack F. Lathers on July 3, 1954 in Madison. Together they resided in Madison until moving to West Bend in 1961.
Maryellen was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church since moving to West Bend. She was also a former member of St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, former board member of the YMCA, and a volunteer at the Threshold.
She will be missed by her five loving children and their families, Maureen (Kevin) Moran and their children, Matt, Ted, and KC Moran; Lynn (Ned) Gallasch and their children, Dawn and Brett Gallasch; Mark (Denise) Lathers and their children, Johnblair and Payton Lathers; Tom (Susie) Lathers and their children, Jake, Lauren, and Sam Lathers; Rick Lathers and his children, Lizzi and Tony Lathers; Other relatives and many friends.
Maryellen was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Kathryn Mueller; her first husband of 1 year, Robert McCormick; Robert McCormick's parents, Stuart and Erma McCormick; Her husband Jack F. Lathers; Jack Lathers parents, William and Gladys Lathers; two brothers, Donald Mueller and John Mueller.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial to remember Maryellen will be held on Monday January 28th at 5:00 pm at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Rev. Jeffrey Haines will be the celebrant. Visitation will be Monday at the church only from 2:00 pm until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Kathy Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
