Mathias A. Garman, age 80, of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
He was born on February 23, 1927 in Balta, ND and was united in marriage to Loretta Fahn on October 30, 1950 in Balta, ND. They lived in several different areas of the country before settling in West Bend in 1962. Mathias worked at the West Bend Company until his retirement in 1990. Loretta preceded him in death on December 26, 2003.
He is survived by four children, Ken (Jean) Garman of Gilbert, AZ, Diane (Robert) Mutz of Menomonee Falls, Larry (Denise) Garman of Shelbyville, TN, and Dan (Sue) Garman of West Bend; four grandchildren, Paul & Curt Mutz, and Amy & Steve Garman; two sisters, Pauline Goetz and Meg Schmidt, both from North Dakota; two brothers-in-law, Christ Fahn of Montana, and Vernon Fahn of California; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony and his twin brother Joe.
Funeral services for Mathias will be held on Monday, April 2nd at 6:30 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Mr. Brad Hoffman will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from 4:30 pm until the time of service. Burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery on Tuesday at 9:30 am.
