Matthew A. "Matt" Peña

Matthew A. “Matt” Peña, 44, of Milwaukee, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022, at the Pavilion at Glacier Valley in Slinger after a lifelong battle with multiple sclerosis.

Matt was born on March 10, 1978, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Jose Peña and Linda Pritchard. Matt loved his family, especially his daughter, Hennassey, friends, music, and life in general. His contagious smile, warm heart, and constant jokes always had somebody laughing, even in the worst of times. His body may have failed him but his spirit never wavered. Matt will be missed dearly by everyone he has touched.

Those Matt leaves behind to cherish his memory include his daughter, Hennassey; a sister, Krista Peña; a nephew, Jonathan Peña; two nieces, Zoee Peña and Izzy Peña; a great niece and nephew, Raelynn Peña and Mateo Romo; a childhood friend and adopted sister, Jamie (Dave) Sumter as well as their daughter, Matt’s “niece”, Jessie Sumter; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Matt was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Pritchard, and his grandparents.

VISITATION: Matt’s family will greet relatives and friends at the Myrhum – Patten Funeral and Cremation Service, 1315 W. Washington Street, in West Bend, on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE: A celebration of Matt’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff at the Pavilion at Glacier Valley, the hospice care team at Allay Home and Hospice, and the Community Care family team.
