May E. Roos, nee Gruetzmacher, age 87, of West Bend, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Jackson Crossings in Jackson.
She was born on May 26, 1924, in West Bend to the late Emil and Clara (nee Nehrbass) Gruetzmacher. On October 27, 1945, May was united in marriage to Philip A. Roos at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend. Philip preceded her in death on July 11, 1980.
She worked at the Amity Company before she married. From 1966 until 1976, May worked for the West Bend Company and from 1976 until 1986, she worked at Ziegler Company.
She was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church and longtime active member in their choir in addition to the Naomi Circle. May belonged to the same card club for 50 years.
She is survived by two children, Suzanne (Dennis) Mildbrandt and Diana (Bryan) Schlosser both of West Bend; five grandchildren, Andrew Roos, Chad (Jennifer) Mildbrandt, Kevin (Martha) Mildbrandt, Kristi Mildbrandt, and Ryan (fiancAC.e, Kristin Becker) Schlosser; nine great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Abigail, Austin, Dylan, Mia, Camden, and Kayli Mildbrandt, Madysen Schlosser, and Lilly Brian; daughter-in-law, Julie Roos of Dubuque, IA; sister-in-law, Marian Weiss of Fond du Lac; other relatives and friends.
May is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Philip; son, Philip R.; grandson, Christopher Schlosser; sister-in-law, Helen Panzer and two brothers-in-law, David and Paul Roos.
Funeral Services in remembrance of May will be held on Sunday, April 15th at 4:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N. 7th Avenue, West Bend with Rev. David Schoob officiating. Visitation will be Sunday at the church from 2:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will take place on Monday, April 16th in Washington County Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m.
