Michael S. Farchione

Michael S. Farchione, age 24, of the town of Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 in Dodge County due to injuries received in a car/train accident.

He was born on December 7, 1981 in Joliet, Illinois, the son of Richard and Patricia (Anderson) Farchione, Sr.

Michael was a graduate of Kewaskum High School in 2000, where he participated in baseball and track for one year and was a member of the football and wrestling teams for four years. He was the year 2000 Wisconsin State Wrestling Champion 189 weight division and was a class representative on the Homecoming and Prom court.


Michael was currently a student at U.W. Oshkosh, where he had been a member of the wrestling team, and he was the junior varsity wrestling coach at Winneconne High School. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.

Michael touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by his family and by all who knew him.

Survivors include his parents, Richard, Sr. and Patricia of the town of Wayne; his sister, Shelly Farchione of Madison; his brothers, Richard Farchione, Jr. of Madison and Jason Farchione of the town of Wayne; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Farchione of Greenfield; his step-grandmother, Mary Anderson of Muskego; two uncles, Clifford (Laurie) Anderson of Barrington, Illinois and Tom (Sue) Farchione of Waterford; two aunts, Terry (Ken) Kimber of Cudahy and Pat (John) Bryson of Pennsylvania; a great-uncle, Harold (Karen) Crotteau of Stanley, other relatives, many friends and his canine companion, Sadie.

Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joseph Farchione, his maternal grandparents, Olaf and Rita Anderson and his uncle, Roger Farchione.

A Memorial Mass was held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street, Kewaskum with Father Edwin Kornath officiating. Cremation has taken place.

The family received visitors at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
