Michael G. Kaul

Michael G. Kaul, age 56 of West Bend, passed away Monday September 3, 2007 at his residence.

He was born on March 19, 1951 in Watertown to the late Leonard and Helen (nee Koehler) Kaul. He lived with his family on a farm north of Ixonia, and graduated from Oconomowoc High School in the class of 1969.

Mike lived in the Ixonia area until moving to West Bend in 1976. He worked as a dry Waller for several companies, and at the time of his death was a drywall supervisor for Winghart Inc. in Milwaukee.

Mike was a member of the Milwaukee Painters Union. He was an avid hunter and a member of Ducks Unlimited. Mike was also an active volunteer for Jam for Kids and Special Olympics.

He is survived by a daughter, Michelle (Jon) Berndt of New Lisbon; a grandson, Marquis Berndt; a sister, Susan Kaul of Ixonia; especially loved fiancAC.e, Mary Fiegel of West Bend; three aunts, Mercedes (Robert) Barry of Lone Rock, Evelyn Kaul of Dodgeville, and Esther Kaul of Hillpoint; an uncle, Francis Koehler of East Troy; many cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial in memory of Michael will be held on Friday September 7th at 10:30 am at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Mapleton. Rev. David Verhasselt will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, from 4:30 pm until 7:30 pm, with a vigil service to follow, and Friday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of mass at 10:30 am. Memorials to St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Mapleton or Jam for Kids are appreciated.
