Michael Schnell, 30, of Port Washington, was unexpectedly called into the Lord's arms on Wednesday February 4, 2015 at Aurora Hospital, Grafton.
He was born on November 14, 1984 to Douglas and Susan (nee Phillips) Schnell in Menomonee Falls. He grew up in the Grafton and Cedarburg area, graduating from Cedarburg High school. He was a member of the Challengers little league and a Special Olympian; State Champion bowler. He loved to fish and camping. He worked for eight years at Columbia St. Mary's in Ozaukee and loved every minute of it. He also did volunteer work at Aurora Hospital. Michael strived to succeed in everything he did. Mike was an inspiration to everyone he met.
He is survived by his loving parents, Doug and Sue Schnell; sister, Jacquelyn (Dan) Kolesari; grandmother, Patricia Phillips; grandfather, Royal Schnell; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his uncle, Brian Schnell; grandfather, Foster J. Phillips; and grandmother, Gladys Schnell.
A memorial service in remembrance of Michael will be held on Monday, February 9 at 7:00 pm at Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Church, 1332 Arrowhead Rd., Grafton. Visitation will be at the church from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
Memorial can be to Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
