Michael E. Wagner

Michael E. Wagner, age 71, of West Bend, formerly of Hartford, passed away at Froedtert West Bend Hospital on January 17, 2025. Michael was born on September 29, 1953, in Hartford to Stanley and Audrey (Steger) Wagner.

Of all the men who walked the earth, Michael Wagner was definitely one of them. He had several careers throughout his life; Michael worked as a chef, police officer, owned his own restaurant for a short time and also a catering business. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, camping, playing video games, telling goofy jokes, and spending time with his dogs. He also liked to know “how it was going” and “what was new.”

Michael is survived by his brothers, Dale (Ann) Wagner and Brian (Joanne) Wagner; his daughters, Elsa (Michael) McLemore and Audra Grueneberg; and his grandchildren, Taylor Rappe, Nathan McLemore, Emelia Grueneberg, and Alaine Grueneberg. Michael is also survived by MANY other extended family members who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Audrey Wagner.

There will be a small private celebration of life for the immediate family.
