Michael E. "Mike" Stiever

Michael “Mike” Stiever, 81, of the town of Trenton, passed away on December 24, 2024, at his home.

Mike's journey began on June 7, 1943, in Milwaukee, born to the late Joseph and Lila (Ellsworth) Stiever. He graduated from Germantown High School in 1961. His life took a beautiful turn on July 18, 1964, when he married JoAnn Neuburg at St. Hubert’s Church in Hubertus. He pursued a business degree at MSOE in Milwaukee and dedicated his career to the plastics industry at Kelch Corporation, rising from the factory floor to co-ownership.

Mike found joy in nature, spending cherished moments fishing with his father-in-law at the cabin, embarking on Canadian fly-ins, and canoeing the boundary waters. After retiring in his early 50s, he indulged in his passion for restoring and selling antiques, relishing the thrill of the treasure hunt.

Family was at the heart of Mike's life. He adored his children and grandchildren, sharing his passions and talents with them. A masterful woodworker and blacksmith, Mike's legacy is one of love, craftsmanship, and cherished memories.

Those Mike leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, JoAnn “Joni”; two children, Scott Stiever and Kelly (Tim) Weske; two grandchildren, Zach (Emily) Weske and Alex Weske; a sister-in-law, Kathy (Bob) Nelson; a sister, Theresa (Chuck) Fischbach; two brothers, David and John Stiever; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Henry and Kathryn Neuburg and a brother, Phil Stiever.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Lee and Terry Delcore for their support.

VISITATION: Mike’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, January 17 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 521 Congress Drive, in Newburg, from 10 until 11.

SERVICE: A Memorial Mass for Mike will be held at 11:oo am on Friday, January 17 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Newburg.
