On Monday, December 23, 2024, Michael James Alexander passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Allenton, Wisconsin.
Mike said “Yo!” to life 67 years ago on June 23, 1957, and was a son of James and Corrine (nee Rabe) Alexander in St. Louis, Missouri. His family eventually migrated to Illinois, where Mike graduated from Maine East High School in Park Ridge, Illinois. Mike then made a move to Wisconsin where he remained for many happy years.
He was blessed with matrimony to Brenda Alexander, with whom he shared two wonderful daughters. Subsequently, on March 9, 1991 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade, he married his perfect match, Renee Feider, with whom he had so many great memories and adventures with before she passed on April 18, 2009. He then married Jen on July 24, 2020.
Mike held various jobs in the printing industry as a die cutter and bindery worker with Serigraph, Universal Lithographers, and R.R. Donnelly where he worked for the past 23 years, and retired on September 9, 2024.
When Mike wasn’t working, he would most likely be found wandering the aisles of Geidel’s/Laatsch’s Piggly Wiggly in Kewaskum (known as a “frequent flyer”), where he would make his daily trip for dinner fixin’s. He never kept a big stock of groceries on hand because he just wouldn’t know what he wanted to eat until the day of. After shopping the Pig, he would hop over to Kohn’s BP station to socialize. When he got home, he would kick back by throwing on an old Western (a more recent favorite of his being Gunsmoke) – though he also liked watching Nascar and the Packers.
Above anything else, Mike was a very simple, humble, and happy man. We’re pretty sure there wasn’t a person that didn’t like him. No matter the occasion, he was the first one to send a message – holidays, birthdays, you name it. His family was the most important part in his life, and we are all better for having known Mike. He made everyone smile, and now that is something that will be carried on in our hearts to honor him forever.
Those who are left to cherish his imprint include his daughters, Stephanie (Matthew) Gruber of Campbellsport, and Stacey (fiancé Shawn Herbst) Lichtensteiger of Fond du Lac, and their daughters Alivia Lichtensteiger and Kendall Gruber. He also has three siblings to remember him, Dave (Sue) Alexander of Naples, Florida, Tom (Liz) Alexander of West Bend, and Kay (the late Larry) Hammen of Random Lake. He cherished his nieces and nephews, including Mike Alexander, Carly (David) Salkowski, and Scott Hammen; and his great-nieces and nephews, Madeline, Gavin, Joe, Frank, and Calen.
He was met at Heaven’s Gates by his parents, wife Renee, brother-in-law Larry Hammen, and niece Kati Hammen.
SERVICE: A gathering of friends and family in honor of Mike will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 4:00 p.m., until 6:00 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service (1315 W. Washington Street, West Bend).
MEMORIALS: Though the gesture of flowers is appreciated, donations to the family are deeply appreciated.
So, with that, as Mike would so often say instead of goodbye, “Kisses all around”, and “Later!”.
Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Mike’s arrangements. Additional information and Tribute Wall may be found at www.myrhum-patten.com.
