Mildred Marie Davis passed away October 6th 2014 at the Mayville Nursing Center in Mayville WI.
Mildred was born in Bear Valley Wisconsin on November 13th, 1919. The daughter of Algie and Clara (Oleson) Hendricks. At the age of 3 years, after the death of her mother, she was adopted by Walter and Myrtle Golla. She grew up and attended school in the Plainfield and Bancroft area of Wisconsin. She was married in 1937 to Glenn W. Bender of Bancroft, Wisconsin. In 1948 she married Robert J. Davis of Plainfield, Wisconsin. She was the mother and stepmother to 11 children in all.
Her ancestors have been in America since it's beginning in 1620 when her 10th Great-Grandfather, Edward Doty, arrived on the ship "Mayflower" in 1620. Two of her ancestors were found to have fought in the Revolutionary War and her Grandfather James Madison Hendricks fought in the Civil War.
She is survived by six children, Robert Davis of Phoenix, Az., Ronald Bender of Plainfield WI., Glenwood (Kathy) Bender of Janesville WI., Carol (Bob) Loefer of Eagle WI., Ivan (Kristin) Davis of Jefferson WI., and Cynthia (Jeff) Helms of Oark AR. There are many loved Great and Great-Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and 5 children: Clarence Bruce Bender, Plainfield WI., Bennie Bender, Bancroft WI., George Davis, Whitewater WI., Joyce (Davis) Sordahl, Stoughton, WI. And Conrad Bender, Fort Atkinson WI.
Her remains will be interned at the Plainfield Cemetery, Plainfield WI. at a later date.
