Nancy Clark

July 12, 1946 — August 8, 2009

Nancy A. Clark, (nee Stuart), age 63, of West Bend, passed away Saturday August 8, 2009, at her residence, after a long illness with ALS, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born on July 12, 1946 in Ripon to James and Wanda (nee Stiles) Stuart. Nancy was raised in Ripon and Winneconne, and graduated from Waukesha High School. Nancy then attended UW La Crosse and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Education.

On September 2, 1967 Nancy was united in marriage to David B. Clark in Ripon at the U.C.C. Church on the Ripon campus. They made their home in West Bend, and together they owned and operated Weiland's Fun Center until retiring in 2006.

Nancy was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum, co-founder, charter member and past president of the West Bend Lioness Club, West Bend Junior Women, A.A.U.W., AO? Sorority, and St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary. Nancy was an avid bridge player with master's points. She would like the younger generations to learn and continue to play bridge.

She is survived by her husband, Dave; four children, David "Skip" (Cindy) Clark Jr., Kim Schmidt, Liz Clark, and Chris (Matthew) Uelmen, all of West Bend; seven grandchildren, David III "DJ", Matthew, and Alyssa Clark, Hannah and Bennett Schmidt, Ruthie and Ella Uelmen; her mother, Wanda Stuart of Waukesha; a sister, Beverly (Rich) Schlipp of Eagle; two brothers, Jim (Margie) Stuart of Hartland, and Rob (Patty) Stuart of Cape Cod, MA; special friend and caregiver, Kenya Martinez; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Stuart.

A memorial service in remembrance of Nancy will be held on Saturday, August 15th at 4:30 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. Eric Kirkegaard and Rev. Bill Wiederanders will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Memorials to the ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) Association, or Peace U.C.C. are appreciated. Cremation took place at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral & Cremation Service.
