Nancy Ann Kracht, 80, of Lomira, Wisconsin, was called home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2022 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin with her loving family and friends by her side.
Nancy was born September 4, 1942 in Sheboygan, WI to the late Oakley O. and Isabelle A. Frank (Fortin). She was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1960, and graduated Sheboygan County Teacher’s College on July 1, 1963 for Elementary Education. On September 21, 1963, she married Henry Edwin Kracht at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1994.
Nancy worked as a deli manager at the Sentry Store in downtown Plymouth, helped Henry on the family farm, and took care of her in-laws until their passing. After that, they moved to Lomira where she worked many years at R.E. Phelon Company and made many friends there. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Lomira. She enjoyed raising their son and enjoyed watching sports, especially basketball. She also enjoyed playing solitaire, word search games, and reading books.
Survivors include her son, Henry Kracht and his wife, Naomi; grandsons, Klaus and Tristan Zirkle; sister Susan (David) Taylor Strohbusch; brother-in-law, Raymond Kracht; sister-in-law, Florence (Norbert) Mallmann; dear friend of the family Brenda (Tom) Nabak; and her caregivers Megan and Penny whom of which she cared for dearly; as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was also a godmother to Abby Nabak.
In addition to her parents and husband, Henry, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Evelyn Sass; 6 brothers-in-law Alvin, Leroy, Lester, Orville, Palmer, and Wallace. She was also preceded in death by her godson, Daniel Kracht.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (350 Main Street, Lomira, Wisconsin) with Pastor Mulongo Mpoyo officiating.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 9 at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Interment will follow at the Salem Cemetery, Lomira.
A memorial will be established in her name to a local non-profit organization in the Lomira area.
