Nancy A. Kraemer (nee Stier), age 84, of West Bend, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Serenity Villa in Slinger.
Nancy was born on February 28, 1931 in West Bend to the late Francis and Nettie (nee Tuskey) Stier. She graduated from West Bend High School and was united in marriage to George W. Kraemer on April 29, 1950 in West Bend. Nancy spent many years as a full time mom, and also touched many lives through the various jobs she held, especially at Silverbrook School. She was tough, witty, and sharp. Deep down she had a kind and friendly heart, opening her home to people down on their luck or in need for as long as they needed. She enjoyed watching her kids and grandchildren's activities. She was often seen at Regner for East, West, Barton, and 7 Up baseball games with George. She had a special fondness for their trips to Arizona and enjoyed meeting with friends at Road America in Elkhart Lake. There wasn't a pile of wash or clean up chore that she wouldn't tackle. Nancy was a wonderful cook and could make a great holiday meal that was enjoyed by many. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and playing the piano. She had a great love of music. She will be missed by many.
Nancy is survived by her four children, Joel (Jane), Bill (Jody), Ben (Pat), and Katy; a daughter-in-law, Maggy Kuhn; 12 grandchildren, Antonia (George) Stone, Maria (Matt) Karst, Josh (fiancAC.e Carie Frieder) Kuhn-Kraemer, Jackie Kraemer, Julie (Bob) Davis, Erik (Jenny) Kraemer, Kristin (Adam) Krenek, Joelle (Adam) Brace, Claire Kraemer, Emma Kraemer, Elizabeth Kraemer, and Kealan Kraemer; 14 great-grandchildren, George V, Shelby, Lily, Amelia, Carter, Jillian, Henry, Zoey, Caleb, Jace, Adalyn, Alegra, Audryna, and Aliza; and many other relatives and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; and her son, Jay.
A gathering in remembrance of Nancy will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at The Columbian (formerly the KC Hall, 3245 Lighthouse Ln, West Bend, WI 53090). In place of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice, Salvation Army, West Bend VFW, or Alzheimer's Association. Special thanks to Serenity Villa for the great loving care and laughs we all shared the last two years.
