Nancy J. Kuczkowski, 70, of the town of Theresa, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Aurora West Allis Medical Center in West Allis.
She was born on October 1, 1940, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Joseph and Hattie (Gajewski) Jankowski, and on September 23, 1961, she was united in marriage to Frank Kuczkowski at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee.
Nancy and Frank made their home in Milwaukee where Nancy worked for various floral shops. In 1980 the family moved to the town of Theresa, where Nancy and Frank purchased Park Floral. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa, was president of St. Ann’s Altar Sodality and a member of the Theresa American Legion Auxiliary.
Nancy enjoyed ceramics and will fondly be remembered as an excellent cook. She entered many area bake-offs and won several prizes for her entries.
Those Nancy leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Frank; two children, Michael (Julie) Kuczkowski of Lomira and Susan Margelowsky (fiancé, Scott Lee) of Waupun; six grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) Loomans, Michelle (James) Paulson, Kaytlin Kuczkowski, Stephanie, Jared and Brandon Margelowsky; two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Natalie Loomans, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a sister, Ann (Thomas) Kuchta.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Nancy was held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 106 Church Street in Theresa. Father Dennis Budka officiated and burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday in St. Theresa Memorial Gardens in Theresa.
Relatives and friends called on Wednesday at the church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
The Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira was entrusted with Nancy’s arrangements.
