Nicholas R. “Handsome Nick” Giese, 22, of Kewaskum, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013, from injuries received in a snowmobile accident.
He was born on December 19, 1990, in Fond du Lac, the son of Dennis and Debby (Wondra) Giese.
Nicholas was a graduate of Kewaskum High School. He loved Pribnow racing (sprint car racing) where he was a pit crew member. He was a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum and the New Fane Kettle Riders Snowmobile Club.
Nicholas was an avid baseball fan. Brewers in particular were his favorite team, and he had a passion for snowmobiling. Nicholas will fondly be remembered as a person who liked to have a lot of fun with his friends and lived every day to the fullest. Nicholas touched many lives and will be deeply missed by his family and by all who knew him.
Those Nicholas leaves behind to cherish his memory include his parents, Dennis Giese (fiancee, Tina Schrank) of Brownsville and Debby (Scott) Ebert of Kewaskum; a brother, Shawn Giese of Brownsville; a sister, Alexya Ebert of Kewaskum; his maternal grandfather, Richard Wondra of Campbellsport; his paternal grandparents, Norman and Delores Giese of Lomira; his step-grandparents, Eugene and Betty Ebert of Kewaskum; three aunts, Lisa (TJ) Wondra-Tarrant of Fond du Lac, Angel (Ed) Schrauth of Lomira and Kathi Jo (Jon) Wondra-Schraufnagel of Brownsville; a step-aunt, Jenny (Chris) Peters of Kewaskum; five uncles, Tony (Rhonda) Wondra of Campbellsport, Mike (Chris) Wondra and Brian (Amie) Giese both of Lomira, Dale (Jenny) Giese of North Fond du Lac and Marvin (Kathy) Giese of Theresa; Tina Schrank’s children, Tanner and Devan Schrank, other relatives and many, many friends.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Renee Wondra; his great-grandparents, Bernard and Marie Wondra; his great-grandma and grandpa Barnes; his great-grandma and grandpa Giese “Farm”; his great-grandma and grandpa Ewert “Town”; his step-great-grandma, Delores Ebert; two uncles, Tomie Wondra and Earl Kleinke and an aunt, Vernice “Tuddy” Roesel.
Funeral services for Nicholas were held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. Rev. Timothy Henning officiated and burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Friday in St. Petri Cemetery in the town of Theresa.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to St. Petri Cemetery Association, New Fane Kettle Riders Snowmobile Club, St. Lucas Lutheran Church or St. Paul’s (Halfway) Church are appreciated.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Nicholas’ arrangements.
