Nicholas R. "Nick" Kaufmann

Nicholas Robert “Nick” Kaufmann, 29, of Oshkosh, found peace on July 13, 2024.

Nick was born on January 21, 1995, in Topeka, Kansas, to Scott Kaufmann and Susan Jung. He graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 2013 and proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Nick had a deep love for music, especially from the 90s, but he enjoyed all genres. He was passionate about writing screenplays and watching movies, dreaming of becoming an actor, which led him to attend acting school in California. Nick adored science fiction and had a contagious sense of humor that brightened any room. He was an animal lover, enjoyed cooking and creating his own recipes, and had a particular fondness for Mexican food.

Those Nick leaves behind to cherish his memory include his mother and father, Susan Jung and Scott (Carolyn) Kaufmann; his two brothers, Brady Kaufmann and Connor Kaufmann; his paternal grandfather, Robert Kaufmann; his aunts and uncles, Amy Millenheft, Christine (John) Quebbemann, and Jennifer (Kevin) Kern; his cousins, Kyle and Dylan McKay, Katelyn and Jack Kern; two great aunts, Elinor (Dick) Graefe and Kathy (Glenn) Braun; and a great uncle, Richard Grunow; other relatives and friends.

Nick was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marian Millenheft and Allan Millenheft; his paternal grandmother, Carol Kaufmann; and an aunt, Lisa McKay.

In honor of Nick’s wishes, a private family ceremony will be held.
