Norbert F. Rohlinger, 78, of Lomira, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lomira.
He was born on August 15, 1936, in the town of Lomira, the son of the late Matthew and Rose (Zingsheim) Rohlinger. Norbert proudly served his country in the U. S. Army and was employed by John Deere in Horicon retiring after many years service. Norbert was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira.
Those Norbert leaves behind to cherish his memory include two children, Allan (Tracy) Rohlinger of Cadillac, Michigan and Brenda (Randy) Wren of Manistee, Michigan; a brother, Roy (Jeannette) Rohlinger of Lomira; a brother-in-law, Albert Abraham of Lake Villa, Illinois, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Norbert was preceded in death by two children, Thomas and Christie and two sisters, Virginia Abraham and Marion (Paul) Trauba.
A Memorial Mass for Norbert was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira with Father Michael Petersen officiating. Military honor rites by members of the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post 347 Lomira followed Mass and burial of Norbert’s cremains was in the parish cemetery.
Norbert’s family greeted relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
The Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira was entrusted with Norbert’s arrangements.
Norbert’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center for the compassionate care he was given.
