Norma C. Ehlke, 95, of West Bend, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012, at Sacred Heart St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander.
She was born on September 7, 1917, in Freistadt, the daughter of the late Gustav and Clara (Wendt) Kressin, and on August 16, 1941, she was united in marriage to Wilmer Ehlke at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistadt. Wilmer preceded Norma in death on January 20, 2004.
Norma was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in West Bend.
Those Norma leaves behind to cherish her memory include her daughter, Shirley (Robert) Mayer of West Bend; four grandchildren, Jeremy Mayer, Ryan Mayer (special friend, Emily Baumgartner), Adam Mayer (special friend, Soraya Shafaie) and Jolene (Sam) Rathke; two sisters-in-law, Hildegard Eichstadt of the town of Jackson and Leona Hilgendorf of Menomonee Falls; a brother-in-law, Junior Ehlke of the town of Jackson, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Norma was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Boehlke, Rose Kurth and Ellen Wolfgram and a brother, Elmer Kressin.
Funeral services for Norma were held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in West Bend. Rev. Joseph Fisher officiated and burial was at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday in Christ Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Jackson.
Relatives and friends called on Wednesday at the church from 5:30 p.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to Pilgrim Lutheran Church are appreciated.
