Norma Kelm entered eternal glory on March 18, 2011 after a graceful battle with illness. Born Norma Regina Juntilla in Superior, WI, on July 22, 1920. Born again into the Christian faith as a young woman by the power of the Gospel. Married to Arnold P. Kelm on February 1, 1944. Norma and Arnold lived in Oshkosh for some 40 years, active members of Grace Lutheran Church, before retiring in West Bend, WI.
Norma returned to Oshkosh to live at Evergreen Retirement Community. She loved her Lord and her family, serving both with joy. A registered nurse, she cared for children in the pediatrics ward at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh. Norma enjoyed Bible stuffy with friends, reading, and knitting for her grandchildren. Each of her children entered full-time ministry as pastors or teachers.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, her parents (Ernest and Lillie Juntilla), and a grand-daughter, Angie. She is survived by four children, Paul (Lynne) Kelm, Alisa (Jim) Schmidt, David (Jan) Kelm and Daniel (Rachel) Kelm; 14 grandchildren, Andrew (Amy) Kelm, Peter (Angie) Kelm, Laura (fiancAC., Tim Funk) Kelm, Julie (Rick) Buser, Joel (Carrie) Schmidt, Matthew Schmidt, Rachel (Mike) Drake; Lacey Walton, Amy Kelm, Adam (Crystal) Kelm; Michael Kelm, Abigail Kelm, Lydia Kelm, and Anna Kelm; 8 great-grandchildren and four cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd at 1:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 330 N. Eagle Street, Oshkosh with Rev. David F. Pagel officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 (noon) until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Oshkosh.
