Norman E. Koepke

Norman E. Koepke, 76, of the town of Auburn, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2009, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home in Fond du Lac.


He was born on July 20, 1932, in the town of Scott, the son of the late Rudolph and Hildagard (Kutz) Koepke, and on September 29, 1956, he was united in marriage to Janice Butzke at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.


Norman served his country in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, retiring in 1995 after 33 years of service. After retirement, Norman drove school bus for Johnson Bus Service Inc. in the Campbellsport school district for nine years. Norman was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.


Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Janice; a daughter, LuAnn (Kenneth) Larson of Eden; a sister, Mavis (Gerhard) Schulz of Fond du Lac; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Josh) Bortz; a step-grandson, Brian (Sarah) Larson, other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Norman were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2009, at St. John Lutheran Church, N665 Highway S, Kewaskum (New Fane). Rev. Tom Fleischmann officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery.


Relatives and friends called on Friday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
