Norman Krueger

August 8, 1926 — October 12, 2011

Norman R. Krueger, age 85, of West Bend, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital in the town of Polk.

He was born on August 8, 1926 in Lomira to the late William and Wilhemina (nee Enderle) Krueger. On May 7, 1949, Norman was united in marriage to Bernice Kober at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Kewaskum. Norman farmed on the family farm in the town of Lomira until 1961. At that time he and his family moved to West Bend and he began working as a machinist at the Gehl Company, retiring in 1990. He also drove school bus for Johnson Bus Company for many years.

Norman was an active member of Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend and the Gehl Company Hexelbank Club. He enjoyed following the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Chicago Cubs.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Krueger of West Bend; his four children, Norman Krueger of West Bend, Linda Krueger of Brown Deer, Carl (Peggy) Krueger of Cedarburg and Bonnie Krueger of Brown Deer; two grandchildren, Nicole and Brittany Krueger; two brothers, Vernon Krueger of Lomira and Richard Krueger of West Bend; brother-in-law, William (Beverly) Kober of Kewaskum; and his two best friends, his dogs, Andy and Molly; other relatives and friends.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Betty (Raymond) Mertzig.

Funeral services in remembrance of Norman will be held on Saturday, October 15th at 12:00 (noon) at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, 777 Indiana Avenue, West Bend. Rev. Robert Hein and Rev. John Paustian will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will take place on Monday, October 17th at 11:00 am in Washington County Memorial Park.

Memorials to Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church are appreciated by the family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Herdrich and his staff, the nurses at St. Joseph's Hospital and the staff at the Samaritan for the care they gave Norman.
