Norman A. Pankau

Norman A. Pankau, age 92, of Brookfield, passed away Saturday November 22, 2014 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI.

He was born in Milwaukee on May 12, 1922 to the late Stanley and Ann (nee Francis) Pankau. Norman served honorably in the United States Army during WW II in the European Theater.

After his discharge he returned to Milwaukee and worked for Milsco Seat Company as canvas and leather sewer until his retirement in 1987. On June 14, 1947 Norman was united in marriage to Margaret Ruperski at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Brookfield.

He was a life member of St. Agnes Catholic Parish in Butler. Norman enjoyed Sailing and Golf.

He is Survived by three sons, John Pankau of West Bend, Jerry (Barbara) Pankau of West Bend, and Norman (Mary Jane) Pankau of Cedarburg; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Patrick) Robinson, Melanie (Michael Banning) Pankau, Robin Pankau, Adam Pankau, and Dan Pankau; two brothers, Ervin Pankau of Monroe, and Elmer Pankau of Oshkosh; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Margaret in 2004; daughter, Mary Jane; grandson, Michael Pankau; a sister, Rose Gross; two brothers, Art, and Harry.

A memorial Mass in remembrance of Norman will be held on Friday December 5th at 10:00 am at St. Agnes Catholic Parish (12801 West Fairmont Ave.) Butler. Fr. Mark Brandl will be the celebrant. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of Mass. Cremation took place at Myrhum - Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, West Bend, and entombment will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield following the Mass.
