Norman M. Giese, 78, of Lomira, found peace and entered eternal life on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lomira, with his family at his side.

Norman was born on August 4, 1938, in the town of Theresa, the son of the late Adolph and Evelyn (Pribnow) Giese. On October 23, 1965, he was united in marriage to Delores Ewert at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Woodland.

Norman was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lomira. He was a lifelong farmer in the town of Theresa. Norman was a member of the Theresa American Legion, a former Theresa Lions Member, and active in the community. He loved all kinds of sports, racing and Green Bay Packers in particular. Norman also enjoyed time spent up north, hunting and fishing on Spirit Lake. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, children and grandchildren.

Those Norman leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Delores; three children, Dennis (Tina) Giese of Brownsville, Brian (Amie) Giese of Lomira and Dale Giese of North Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Shawn Giese, Samantha Giese, Isaiah Giese and Addison Giese; a brother, Marvin (Kathy) Giese of Theresa; a sister-in-law, Evangeline (Roger) Kuehl of Ashippun; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas Giese; a sister, Vernice Roesel, and a sister-in-law, Verda (Jerry) Schulteis.

A funeral service for Norman will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9910 Highway 175, in Lomira. Rev. Matthew Kuske will officiate and burial will follow at St. Petri Cemetery in the town of Theresa.

Norman’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lomira and Agnesian Hospice for the care provided to Norman.
