Odelia E. Peters

Odelia E. Peters (nee Weis), 97, of West Bend, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Hillside Manor Nursing Home, Beaver Dam.

She was born on July 16, 1917 to the late Frank and Emma (Nee Neuy) Weis in Barton. She moved to Allenton at a young age. On September 7, 1936 was united in marriage to Alois Peters at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Allenton. They moved to West Bend where they raised their children. She worked part-time at the West Bend Company. Odelia was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, West Bend. She was a member of the Foresters and volunteer of Holy Angels Mission Circle, The Good Samaritan Guild and the Samaritan Home, also member of the former Altar Sodality at Holy Angels. She also volunteered for many years at St. Joseph's Hospital, West Bend. She enjoyed making quilts and playing cards.

She is survived by her two daughters, Janet (David) Nelson of Beaver Dam and Sister Phylis Peters of Harlingen TX.; three grandchildren, Michael (Brenda) Nelson, Phylis (Daniel) Gibbon, and Mark (Stacie) Nelson; two step-great-grandchildren, Casandra (Adam) Schaalma and Danielle Friese; six great-grandchildren, Ben Nelson, Cassidy Gibbon, Jordan Gibbon, Clayton Nelson, Dylan Nelson, and Aaron Nelson; two step-great-great-grandchildren, Arianna Schaalma and Brielle Marthaler; Sister-in-law, Dolores Weis; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Alois; two brothers, Sylvester Weis and Richard (Adeline) Weis; two sisters, Loretta (Rudy) Heidmann and Irene (Roland) Beck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 15, at 1:00 pm at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. 8th Ave. West Bend. Burial to follow service at Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation will be at church from 11:00 am until the time of service.

Memorial can be made to Holy Angels School Fund.
