Olive B. Stauske, (nee Benicke), age 98, of West Bend, passed away Friday December 7, 2007, at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg.
She was born on June 14, 1909 in the Town of Cedarburg, to the late Carl and Emma (nee Wolfgram) Benicke, and was united in marriage to Paul Stauske on April 26, 1931 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Together they farmed in the Town of Jackson until moving to West Bend in 1941. Olive was a long time active member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend.
She is survived by three children, Verna (Harold) Kissinger of West Bend, Carla (Rev. Carl) Hilmer of Woodbury, MN, and Will (Dorothy) Stauske of Cedarburg; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters; a sister Eleanor (Paul) Hafemann of Cedarburg; a brother Gilbert (Elfrieda) Benicke of Grafton; a sister-in-law, Marie Benicke of Delefield; other relatives and friends.
Olive was preceded in death by a sister, Melita Benicke; four brothers, Palmer, Paul, Norman, and Elmer.
Funeral services in remembrance of Olive will be held on Tuesday December 11th at 11:00 am at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. George Mumm will officiate and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service. Memorials in Olive's name may be given to St. John's Church, or the charity of your choice.
