Oliver W. Nedden, age 94, of West Bend passed away Thursday February 19, 2009 at the K Care Hospice in Minocqua.
He was born on June 27, 1914 in Milwaukee to the late William and Ida (nee Anderson) Zur Nedden, and graduated from Shorewood High School.
On June 24, 1939 Oliver was united in marriage to Marjorie Brown in Milwaukee. Together they made their home in Mequon, until Marjorie preceded him in death on April 2, 1997. In 1999 Oliver moved to West Bend.
Oliver spent his working life at the RL Ryerson Company in Menomonee Falls, retiring in 2002.
Oliver was a member of the Baha'i Community in Shorewood, Mequon, and West Bend. He enjoyed Golf, Tennis, and playing bridge at the Washington County Senior Center. In his younger years he was an avid hockey player.
He is survived by three children, William (Nora) Nedden of Antigua, Marcia (David) Dentinger of Minocqua, and Paul (Bridget) Nedden of West Bend; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Rose, Paul, William, and Keven; two great-grandchildren, Randi Marie, and Jonathon; Other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services in remembrance of Oliver will be held on Sunday February 22nd at 5:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield. Memorials to Harvest House are appreciated.
