Oscar O. Holl, age 89, of West Bend, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
He was born on April 20, 1917 in the Town of Polk to the late Conrad and Elizabeth (nee Miller) Holl. Oscar was united in marriage to Bernida Jung, his loving wife of over 62 years, on April 22, 1944 at St. Hubert's in Hubertus.
After his schooling, Oscar owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Barton and later worked for Bermico in West Bend as a machinist. He was employed there for 29 years before his retirement in 1980.
Oscar enjoyed being out doors and loved to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed dancing, especially to polka music.
Oscar is survived by his loving wife, Bernida of West Bend; his four children, Donald Holl of West Bend, Jeanette Osier of West Bend, Wesley (Susan) Holl of Kewaskum, and Gerald (Lynn) Holl of Kewaskum; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Lucy Greiner of Theresa; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Janice; a sister, Rose; and five brothers, Edgar, Henry, Clarence, Walter, and Raymond.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Oscar will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Parish at 6:30 pm. Father Michael Moran will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home on Tuesday, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm with closing of the casket prayers at 6:00 pm. Burial will be take place in Washington County Memorial Park on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 10:00 am.
The family would also like to thank Dr. Robert Gibson, the first floor nurses and care givers at Samaritan Health Center, and Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion.
