Otto Pagel

December 16, 1914 — February 19, 2010

Otto W. Pagel, age 95, of Kewaskum, formerly of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Friday February 19, 2010 at the Samaritan Heath Center in West Bend. He was born on December 16, 1914 in Oberhausan, Germany to the late Richard and Hedwig (nee Voss) Pagel. At a young age Otto and his family immigrated to the United States and eventually settled in West Bend in 1926.

Otto was united in marriage to Dorothy Kuschel on June 27, 1942 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend. He served his country honorably during WWII by enlisting in the United States Army. Following the war Otto worked at the West Bend Company for 47 years before retiring as a supervisor on January 1, 1980.

Otto enjoyed playing sheepshead and was a member of both St. Lucas Ev. Lutheran Church in Kewaskum and the Fred A. Schaefer V.F.W. Post #1393 in West Bend.

Otto is survived by his wife Dorothy of Kewaskum, his daughter Linda (Don) Wallisch of Mequon, his grandson Scott Wallisch of Mequon, and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Otto was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and a brother.

A funeral service in honor of Otto will be held on Wednesday, February 24, at 2:00 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend. Rev. Troy Swenson will officiate and entombment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday, at the funeral home, from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
