Patricia A. Van Assche

March 23, 1935 — December 6, 2009

Patricia A. Van Assche, 74, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.


She was born on March 23, 1935, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Loys and Elizabeth (Evan) Marsh, and she was a member of the Red Hat Society.


Those Patricia leaves behind to cherish her memory include seven children, Kathy (Henry) Enos of Brentwood, California, Lisa Maul of Allenton, Suzette (Skip) Francisco of Austin, Texas, Cindy Valdez of Greeley, Colorado, David (Chris) Van Assche of West Bend, Jenefer (Brian) Kind of Waukesha and Jeremy (Becky) Van Assche of Kewaskum; 14 grandchildren, Joseph Stein, Amber (Mitch) Reese, Sabrina (Ryan) Ojibway, Stephanie Maul, Jonathan Maul, Dana Francisco, Justin Francisco, Hunter Francisco, Jason Van Osdahl, Mitchell Van Osdahl, Heidi Reiss, Tyler Van Assche, Annie Reibor and Hayden Kind; a brother, Loys “Turtle” (Rose) Marsh of Kewaskum; a sister, Marian Kehrmann of Milwaukee, seven great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.


In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tiffanie Maul and two brothers, William and Loren Marsh.


In honor of her wishes, Patricia’s body has been donated to the Medical College of Wisconsin for medical research.


A memorial service for Patricia was held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2009, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum with Father Edwin Kornath officiating.


The family received visitors on Friday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services.
