Patricia Ann "Pat" Dieringer, age 74, of St. Lawrence, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Aurora Medical Center in Grafton with her loving daughter by her side.
She was born on January 27, 1939 in Milwaukee to the late Joseph and Helen (nee Valant) Giessen. Pat attended Kewaskum High School and graduated in the class of 1957. Following high school she was recruited to work in the office at Amity Leather in West Bend.
On December 2, 1962 Pat was united in marriage to Francis "Butch" Dieringer at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Together they lived in the Belgium area for several years before starting their family and making their home in St. Lawrence.
In her free time, Pat enjoyed collecting antiques and acquiring numerous treasures. She loved being outside in her garden where she grew fruits and vegetables for canning, making her own jellies, jams, and homemade wine. She fancied bird watching and enjoyed the challenge of attracting many different species to her various feeders as they migrated through the area.
Pat is survived by her two children, Darrell Dieringer and Danielle Dieringer, both of Madison; her sister, Marlene (Edward) Witte of Cedarburg; her brother, Lyle (Judy) Giessen of West Bend; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Stemper of Fredonia, and Betty Grant of Cartersville, GA; three brothers-in-law, Andrew (Audrey) Dieringer of Port Washington, Thomas (Barbara) Dieringer of Belgium, and James (Laneille) Dieringer of Fredonia; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Butch"; her parents, Joseph and Helen Giessen; her brother, Milton (Marie) Giessen; two sisters-in-law, Lucille (Don) Odekirk, and Olive Dieringer; and four brothers-in-law, Adolph (Jean) Dieringer, Gregor Dieringer, Edward Stemper, and Peter Grant.
Funeral services in remembrance of Pat will be held on Wednesday, August 14th at 6:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington St.) West Bend. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ran Guan, Heather Wood, and the excellent nursing and support staff at Aurora for their compassionate care.
