Patricia A. “Pat” Herriges, 82, of Kewaskum, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk with her family by her side.
She was born on October 10, 1930, in the town of Scott, the daughter of the late David B. and Mary Mae (Foy) Hanrahan, and on August 8, 1953, she was united in marriage to Raynor Herriges at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in the town of Wayne.
Pat was a 1948 graduate of Kewaskum High School. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum where she was a longtime member of the traditional choir and past president of the Christian Mothers.
Pat was a loving wife and devoted mother. She enjoyed family gatherings, attending her grandchildren’s events, baking and cooking. Pat and Raynor’s home was always open to their children’s friends and was a favorite gathering place for them. Many good times and laughs were enjoyed in their home. Pat will be remembered as a “documenter” and will be deeply missed by her husband, her family and by all who knew her.
Those Pat leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 59 years, Raynor; six children, Ann (Doug) Polzean of Kewaskum, Mary (Perry) Polzean of Campbellsport, Mark (Jacky) Herriges of Kewaskum, Joel (Lisa) Herriges of Sussex, Jane (Tom) Paul of Milwaukee and Tom (Brenda) Herriges of Kewaskum; a brother, George (Mary) Hanrahan of the town of Wayne; a sister, Marie Wietor of Kewaskum; a sister-in-law, Myrtle Hanrahan of West Bend; 14 grandchildren, Kevin (Kathi) Polzean, Bridget Polzean, Sarah Polzean, Dr. Margaret Herriges (fiancé, Dr. Andy), Alexander (Jessica), Michael, Joseph, Zachary, Daniel and Samuel Herriges, Nicholas and Christopher Paul, Rebecca (Nicholas) Krieser and Kelsey Herriges, three great-grandchildren, Natalie and Liam Krieser and Harrison Mancl, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her brother, Jerome Hanrahan; a brother-in-law, Cyril “Cy” Wietor and a nephew, Daniel Wietor.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Pat was held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
