Paul A. Cechvala, age 92, of the Town of Farmington, passed away Wednesday December 5, 2007 at Cedar Lake Health Care Center.
He was born on June 26, 1915 on the family homestead farm in the Town of Farmington to the late John and Mary (nee Ondrejka) Cechvala.
Paul owned and operated Badger Valley Farms, which bought, sold, and transported Livestock for area farms. He also owned and operated Cechvala Excavating for many years.
Paul was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in St. Michaels. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. Casper Rehrl Council # 1964, Loyal Order of the Moose West Bend Lodge # 1398, Kewaskum Kiwanis Club, and the National Slovak Society. Paul enjoyed sheepshead, bowling, deer hunting, traveling, and attending farm auctions.
He is survived by a sister, Helen (Donald) Beggan of Hartford; a brother Joe (Evelyn) Cechvala of Ventura, CA; Many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by five sisters, Mary Cechvala, Claudine Cechvala, Agnes Rome, Anne Blanco, and Sophie Cechvala; three brothers, Frank, John, and Edward.
Mass of Christian Burial for Paul will be held on Monday December 10th at 12:00 (noon) at St. Michael's Catholic Church (8877 Forest View Dr.) in St. Michael's. Rev. Edwin Kornath will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be Monday at the church only from 10:00 am until the time of Mass. Memorials may be given to St. Michael's Church or the Boltonville Fire Department. Cremation will follow at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial of his cremated remains will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
