Pauline M. Vandenberg, nee Mandick, age 40, of Hartford, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2004.
She was born on September 4, 1964 to Donald and Patricia (nee McLaughlin) Mandick. In 1983 she graduated from Slinger High School and continued her education at Moraine Park Technical Institute in Fond du Lac where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Pauline dedicated her life to service working at the Samaritan Health Center and later at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center. Family was very important to her and some of the best days of her life were spent with them at the Wisconsin State Fair. She enjoyed creating detailed ceramics and beautiful paintings. Her passion was Native American Culture.
Pauline is survived by her mother, Patricia Mandick; a brother, Don Mandick; two sisters, Christine Coats and her partner Jackie Murray, and Darlene May and her boyfriend Herbie Justman; her grandmother, Lorraine McLaughlin; a special aunt, Maureen Rainer; a niece, Rebecca May; and three nephews, Michael May, James Coats, and Danny Coats. She is further survived by her best friend, Mary Bauer; her special cat, Cody; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Mandick; her grandmother, Ellen Mandick; and her grandfathers, Edward Mandick and James McLaughlin.
A visitation will be held to celebrate Pauline's life on Friday October 22, 2004 from 11:00 am until 2:45 pm. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service of West Bend. Closing of the casket prayers will be at 2:45 pm and burial will follow at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
Pauline's favorite color was purple and in honor of her the family has requested people attend the visitation wearing something purple.
