Pearl M. Grotelueschen, (nee Jamrosy), age 103, formerly of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Wellington Place in Fort Atkinson.
She was born on November 21, 1907 in Milwaukee to the late Valentine and Aniela (nee Piekarski) Jamrosy. Pearl was united in marriage to Walter Grotelueschen on March 10, 1928 in Milwaukee. Together they farmed in the town of Saukville. After Walter's death on November 15, 1947, Pearl began working for Power Products in Grafton as a product inspector. In 1955, she moved to Newburg and in 1995 she came to live in West Bend.
Pearl was a member of St. John's Ladies Aid in Newburg and the American Legion Aux. - Landt-Thiel Post #470 in Saukville.
She is survived by her two children, John (Margaret) Grotelueschen of Mayville and Judith (James) Kocher of Arizona; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Marjorie Grotelueschen of Newburg; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter; her daughter, Mary Ann (Donald) Bowe; two sons, Walter and Donald; a daughter-in-law, Mary Rochwite; two sisters, Frances Jamrosy and Maryannia Jamrosy; and a brother, Bernard (Marian) Jamrosy.
Funeral Services in remembrance of Pearl will be held on Tuesday, September 6th at 1:00 pm at St. John's Lutheran Church in Newburg. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 12:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service in St. John's Church Cemetery in Newburg.
Memorials to St. John's Lutheran School in Newburg and Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson County are appreciated by the family.
