Pearl N. Mayeur, nee Malig, 92, of West Bend, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004 at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.
She was born on Jan. 7, 1912 in Milwaukee to the late George and Frances (nee Porsow) Malig. She worked as a nursing assistant at the V.A. Hospital in Long Beach, CA for many years. She also owned and operated a gift shop in Milwaukee for several years. Pearl enjoyed music and was an accomplished pianist and organist. Her favorite things included the warm California weather and her dogs, "Guy" and "Gal".
She is survived by a cousin, Fred (Marion) Freiburger; two second cousins, Carol Lynn (Tom Thompson) Kaebisch and Norma Jean (Tom) Benz; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Aril Mayeur; a brother, Harvey Malig; two aunts, Florence (George) Freiburger and Norma Comdohr; and three cousins, Robert Freiburger, Maybelle Sarg and Franklin Bohlmann.
In accordance with Pearl's wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no funeral service.
