Pearl J. Stangle, nee Peterson, age 87, found peace on Tuesday, June 5, with her daughter by her side at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
She was born on July 23, 1919 in Merrill to the late John and Elila (nee Richards) Peterson. Pearl was a machine operator for many years at Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee. In 1984 she moved from Milwaukee to West Bend. She lived at Meadowbrook for over twenty years and enjoyed many lasting friendships there. Pearl will always be remembered as a selfless person who always thought of others first.
Pearl is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia (Peter) Proulx of West Bend; her cherished granddaughter, Anne Therese Paikowski of West Bend; her beloved great-granddaughter, Miranda Paikowski; and many other dear relatives and friends. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters.
A private family service in celebration of Pearl's life will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to Dr. Gibson, Dr. Smale, the staff of St. Joseph's Hospital, the staff of the second floor at the Samaritan, and the loving staff of Heartland Hospice for all of the quality care and support that was offered to Pearl and her family.
