Peter K. Ullrich "WA9CPN", age 72, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 at The Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.
He was born on September 26, 1937 in Milwaukee to the late George and Lydia (nee Schroeder) Ullrich. Peter attended Cedarburg High School and graduated in the class of 1956. On June 24, 1967 Peter was united in marriage to Shirley Mae Anderson at First Immanuel Church in Cedarburg. Shirley preceded him in death on July 13, 2007.
Peter enjoyed ham radio for over 50 years. He was a member of the Ozaukee County Amateur Radio Club and the American Radio Relay League (ARRL). Peter also enjoyed photography and flying model airplanes with the Skyranch Flyers.
He is survived by three sisters-in-law Sharon (William) Brown of Brookfield, Alana (Jim) Beske of Buena Vista, CO and Judy (Milton) Schessow of Horicon; one brother-in-law, Wilson (Irene) Anderson of Florida; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services in remembrance of Peter will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd at 7:30 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will take place Wednesday, March 24th at 10:30 am at Valhalla Memorial Park in Milwaukee.
