Philip A. "Fritz" Casper

January 10, 1937 — June 27, 2013

Philip A. "Fritz" Casper, age 76, of West Bend, passed away Thursday June 27, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on January 10, 1937 in Newburg to the late Alexander and Cecelia (nee Fischer) Casper, and graduated from West Bend High School in the class of 1955. Fritz then served his country honorable in the U.S. Army. On July 8, 1961 Fritz was united in marriage to Janet Schultz at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend.

Since age 16 until his retirement Fritz worked for Lawrence Stockhausen, Inc. as a carpenter and mason. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, past president and 50 year plus member of the Newburg Fire Department, and former member of the Newburg Athletic Club. Fritz enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He also enjoyed spending his winters in Florida.

He is survived by two sons, Patrick (Sheree) Casper of Campbellsport, and Mike (Carrie) Casper of Lake Geneva; five grandchildren, Henry Casper, Liza Casper, Nicholas (Kelly) Faymoville, Kristina Faymoville, and Renee Zabolski; five great grandchildren, Saphyre Faymoville, Camden Faymoville, Emery Faymoville, Jaydon Zabolski, and Tyler Zabolski; two sisters, Bernice Odgers of Hartford, and Carol Sauer of Watertown; four sisters-in-law, Julie Schultz of Whitefish Bay, Ann Casper of West Bend, June (Neil) Haymes of Alta Loma, CA, and Sue (Bill) Holicek of Huston, TX; a brother-in-law, Fred (Sue) Schultz of Winchester, MA; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Janet in 2011; a sister, Elayne Dillie; two brothers, Herman Casper, and John Casper; three brothers-in-law, Don Odgers, Bob Schultz, and David Sauer.

A Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Fritz will be held on Tuesday July 2nd at 7:00 pm at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N 8th Ave.) West Bend. Rev. Gerald Brittian will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday at the church from 4:00 pm until the time of Mass. Burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 am in Holy Angels Cemetery, West Bend.
