Phyllis M. Fellenz, (nee Schwoerer) age 88, of West Bend, passed away Monday July 7, 2014 at the Lighthouse of West Bend.
She was born on September 6, 1925 in St. Nazianz to the late Peter and Rose (nee Noworatzky) Schwoerer, and moved to West Bend at a young age. Phyllis was united in marriage to Theodore Fellenz on June 9, 1945 at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish in West Bend.
Phyllis was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. Her family and faith were most important to her. She was so proud to be a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her talent in sewing enabled her to assist in making 100's of lap robes for the missions and others in need. Phyllis was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling with family and friends.
She is survived by three children, Ted (Mary) Fellenz of Kohlsville, LouAnn (Doug) Kocher of Kewaskum, and David (Beth) Fellenz of West Bend; four grandchildren, Nathan (Jessie) Fellenz, Trischa (Randy) Richmond, Jason (Aimee) Fellenz, and Michael Kocher; four great-grandchildren, Denali and Diesel Fellenz, Addysen and Sofia Richmond; five sisters, Ursula Willkomm of Pewaukee, Mag Joyce of Lake Geneva, Agnes Huebner of Racine, Mary Ann (Donald) Benzine of DeForest, and Relinda Slade of Partyville; a sister-in-law, Helen Schwoerer of Columbus; a brother-in-law, Robert (Audrey) Fellenz of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband Theodore in 2007; two sisters, Rose Peterson, and Anita Fox; five brothers, Tony, Clem, Arthur, Wilbert, and Lawrence; four brothers-in-law, Leroy Willkomm, Gene Joyce, Karl Huebner, and Armand Slade.
A Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Phyllis will be held on Friday July 11th at 11:00 am at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N. 8th Ave.) West Bend. Rev. Gerald Brittain will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of Mass.
The family wishes to extend a warm thank you to Dr. Klausmeier, Dr. Mooney, the entire Lighthouse staff, and Seasons Hospice for the loving care of Phyllis.
