Priscilla Schwabauer, (nee Boneck), age 82, of the Cedar Lake Health Care Center in the town of West Bend, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2005.
She was born on July 8, 1923 to the late Otto and Edith (nee Peterson) Boneck in Mosinee, WI. On May 10, 1944 she was united in marriage to William Schwabauer. Together they raised a family in Milwaukee and eventually moved to West Bend in 1973. While in West Bend she began working for the West Bend Library as a library assistant before retiring in the mid 1980's. During that time she became an accomplished bookbinder. Priscilla was an avid reader of non-fiction books, especially biographies. Her passion for books lead her to build quite a book collection of rare out of print books. She was a good seamstress and enjoyed making crafts and paintings. She also loved angels and enjoyed collecting them.
Priscilla is survived by her four children, Patricia Cusma of Oconomowoc, Sallie Franco of West Bend, David Schwabauer of Port Washington, and John Schwabauer for West Bend; three grandchildren, Pamela (Troy) Crass of Beechwood, Aaron Johnson of Boston, MA, Rebecca (Brian) Morrison of Algonquin, IL; a great-granddaughter, Nina Morrison with two other great-grandchildren on the way; a sister, Lenora Boneck of Iola; two brothers, Russell (Mildred) Boneck of West Allis and Wilfred (Virginia) Boneck of Weyauwega; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by he husband William in 1979;two sons-in-law, Basil "Bill" Cusma, and Paul Franco; two sisters, Nina Seligman and Hazel Boneck; and three brothers, Edwin, Vernon, and Roger Boneck.
A prayer service with the family will be held on Monday, January 2, 2006, at 12:45 pm, at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service of West Bend. 334-2776. Visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm.
