Priscilla J. Swift Sr. (nee Wegner), age 77, of West Bend, passed away Sunday December 31, 2006 at Froedtert Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee.
She was born on July 18, 1929 in Milwaukee to the late Ernst and Grace (nee Sherman) Wegner, and was united in marriage to Charles Swift on February 2, 1946 in Wood, WI. Together they made their home in Milwaukee until moving to West Bend in 1960.
She worked at the West Bend Company for 18 years until her retirement in 1978. Priscilla enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, and cards, especially cribbage. She also spent her life helping others who were less fortunate in anyway she could, including bringing them into her home.
Priscilla is survived by 5 children, Priscilla (Robert) Fitz of West Bend, Jim (Carol) Swift of Allenton, Leslie (Mari Heart) Swift of Branson, MO, Henrietta (Kurt) Schmid of West Bend, and Rebecca Kurtz of Fond du Lac; 10 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren; a sister Dorothy Seramur of West Bend; a brother Fred (Joan) Wegner of Watertown; and a sister-in-law, Rebecca (Irvin) Jeffe of Huntington Beach, CA; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2003; a son Danny Swift; a grandson Cody; two great-grandchildren, Daniel & Dalton; a sister and her husband, Patricia & Kenneth Gartzke Sr.; and a brother and his wife, James & Lowine Wegner.
Funeral services for Priscilla will be held on Thursday, January 4th at 7:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Fitz will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Cremation took place at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral & Cremation Service. Memorials to the family are appreciated.
